Shane Salter is the Author of Fostering Hope and currently the Executive Director of March of Dimes Atlanta. He has over twenty-five years of experience in leadership, advocacy and non-profit management. Most recently, he was the Brand Ambassador for the Charlotte Hornets, an Educator at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and Tufts University. Shane is the Founder & Former Executive Director of CASA for Children of DC, Chief of Staff for Health and Human Services, Director of the Freddie Mac Foundation and the National Director of the Marriott Foundation for People with Disabilities.
In those roles, Shane Salter was responsible for fundraising, philanthropic giving, building community partnerships and fostering government relations. He has significant accomplishments in strategic planning, board development and public speaking.
Shane has a Masters in Management and Leadership from Webster University and undergraduate degrees in Health & Human Services and Healthcare Management from Elmira College and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale respectively.
Shane Salter is the proud father of 3 adult children through birth and 4 children by way of adoption. In other words... Shane is for Kids.
